LOCATION

Since 2021 the race start/finish has been run out of Kingston, with overnight moorage and the town of Kingston a few steps away with a variety of restaurants and bars. The Edmonds-Kingston ferry terminal is right next to the marina so crew members not wishing to stay overnight have the option to take a walk-on ferry the day of the race.

THE RACE

This is a mid-distance race with three condition-dependent course options of approximately 24, 14 or 10 nm including the following marks: start/finish at Apple Cove Point at Kingston, a temporary mark at Pilot Point, the Foulweather Bluff navigational buoy, and the Scatchet Head navigational buoy on the south end of Whidbey Island. (see map below)
