The 2021 Port Madison Yacht Club cruise is on! Finally, we are cruising again!

This cruise is both Saturday and Sunday nights, May 29 and 30, in Port Madison, near the Port Madison Yacht Club clubhouse.

Please read below for preliminary details and reply to this email if you plan on joining us.

This cruise is traditionally a gathering in and around the clubhouse, with a BBQ and a potluck. However, this year is somewhat different because of covid. The Port Madison Yacht Club clubhouse is available to to us as in past years, so that means we can use their bathrooms (no showers). Please read their webpage to see what's available. But, they ask that they use our kitchen sparingly, and stay out on their patio for eating and socializing. 

Most boats anchor in the bay for this cruise, with the exception of small boats relying on shore bathrooms and electricity/water, and/or without dinghies, who can tie up at the PMYC reciprocal dock. Their dock is first come, first serve.

Note that there are no grocery stores or other amenities within walking distance, so you need to be self-sufficient. 

So what are we going to do?

First off, we're going to see each other, finally! This will be done at your own comfort level. You can anchor out and join us for land based outdoor socializing. Or you can just stay on your boat nearby, and visit other boats via dinghy.

Second, we are planning optional alternative activities to replace the usual activities.

If you need any more information than that to make a decision or help you plan, please let us know. Another email will be sent early next week with a list of boats signed up, a tentative schedule, and some information about activities. 

And if you have ideas for activities, or want to be a part of the planning, also please let us know. 

Finally, we are very lucky that PMYC has made us their first guests at their clubhouse since over a year ago, and even without our usual work party a few weeks beforehand. One thing we could do, now or after our visit, is to leave a glowing review for them on Google. They would probably be tickled.
